RAGKO,
REDDISH WATER

The Mapuche conflict is a complex and longstanding issue that revolves around the relationship between the indigenous Mapuche people and the Chilean and Argentinian governments. The conflict stems from historical grievances related to land rights, cultural preservation, and political autonomy. The Mapuche, who have a deep connection to their ancestral lands, have experienced displacement and marginalization over hundreds of years due to political abuse and the expansion of industries such as forestry and agriculture. This has led to tensions, protests, and acts of violence between Mapuche communities and the authorities. Finding a comprehensive and lasting resolution that respects the rights and aspirations of both the Mapuche and the Chilean state remains a significant challenge.

We are three Chileans who, in a selfless effort to make this situation known, we delve into the Mapuche Culture and meet with representatives of their world, generating interviews in the middle of their territory, in the middle of the conflict. We address three themes: Mapuche cosmology, its relationship with nature, and the damage to the ecosystem by the private sector.

This is an independent and self-financed project, because the Chilean Government does not want you to know about it. Unfortunately, we do not have all the resources to achieve it as we want, which is why we need your help to carry it out and show it to the world.
